🕹️How do you play Hashi Bridges online?

  1. 1Click or tap an island, then click a neighboring island in the same row or column to draw a bridge between them.
  2. 2Click the same pair again to place a second parallel bridge (double bridge), and click a third time to remove the connection.
  3. 3Bridges run only horizontally or vertically they cannot bend or cross other bridges.
  4. 4Each island shows a number: that is exactly how many bridge ends must touch it when the puzzle is solved.
  5. 5Finish when every island’s count is satisfied and all islands form one connected network use Hint, Undo, Redo, and Check if you get stuck.

📋What are the rules of Hashi Bridges?

  • Bridges may only run straight horizontally or vertically between two islands no diagonals, no bends.
  • At most two bridges can connect the same pair of islands; a third click removes them.
  • Bridges cannot cross each other or pass through islands.
  • Every island must end with exactly the number of bridge connections shown on it.
  • The full solution must connect every island into a single network no isolated groups.

💡What are the best tips for winning at Hashi Bridges?

  • Start with islands that show 1 or that sit in a corner with few possible neighbors they often force the first bridges.
  • When an island’s remaining required bridges equal its remaining free directions, fill those bridges immediately (the classic “full count” deduction).
  • Watch for double bridges early: a 2-island with only one neighbor must take two bridges to that neighbor.
  • Never leave the board as separate clusters near the end connectivity is part of the win condition, not just local counts.
  • Use Check to spot over-connected islands before you dig yourself into a corner; save Hint for genuine dead ends.

FAQ

What is Hashi / Hashiwokakero?+
Hashi (Hashiwokakero) is a Japanese logic puzzle where you connect numbered islands with bridges. Each island’s number is the exact count of bridge ends that must touch it, bridges cannot cross, and the whole map must form one connected network.
How do I place and remove bridges?+
Select one island, then select another in the same row or column. The first click between a pair adds one bridge, the second adds a double bridge, and the third removes the connection entirely.
Can bridges cross or go diagonally?+
No. Bridges only run horizontally or vertically, never diagonally, and they cannot cross each other or pass through another island.
What difficulty packs are available?+
Six packs: Tutorial, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert, and Master — plus a Daily Challenge shared by all players each day.
Is Hashi Bridges free to play?+
Yes. Hashi Bridges is free to play in your browser with no download, no sign-up, and no purchase required for any pack, the Daily Challenge, or achievements.
