Copyright & DMCA Policy

PapoGames builds its own games. If you believe material on this Site infringes a copyright you own or represent, we want to hear about it and we act quickly. This page explains exactly how to tell us.

1. Our position on intellectual property

Every game on PapoGames is an original build, developed in-house. We do not host third-party game feeds, we do not embed games from other portals, and we do not distribute emulators or ROMs. That said, mistakes are possible โ€” an asset, a sound, or a name can slip through. We would rather remove something quickly than argue about it, so we do not require a lawyer or a formal filing to get our attention. A clear email works.

2. How to report infringing material

Send a notice to contact@papogames.com with the subject line "Copyright Notice". To let us act without a round trip, a valid notice should include all of the following: โ€ข Identification of the copyrighted work you say is infringed. If several works are covered by one notice, a representative list is fine. โ€ข Identification of the material you say is infringing, with enough detail for us to find it โ€” a direct URL is best. โ€ข Your contact details: name, postal address, telephone number, and email address. โ€ข A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law. โ€ข A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and โ€” under penalty of perjury โ€” that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf. โ€ข Your physical or electronic signature.

3. What we do when we receive a notice

We review every notice on receipt and aim to respond within two business days. Where a claim is clear, we remove or disable the material first and discuss afterwards. Taking something down is not an admission that the claim is correct โ€” it is simply how we keep the Site clean while we look into it. We keep a record of every notice and every action taken.

4. Counter-notification

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to contact@papogames.com. A counter-notice should include: identification of the removed material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification; your name, address, and telephone number; and your consent to the jurisdiction of an appropriate court. We may restore the material after a waiting period unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a legal action.

5. Repeat infringers

We terminate access and remove content from contributors who repeatedly infringe. Because PapoGames does not accept user-uploaded games or user-generated content of any kind, this policy applies in practice to our own sourcing decisions: any supplier or asset source that produces a valid claim is dropped permanently.

6. A warning about false claims

Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing carries real liability under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, including damages and legal costs. Please make sure you actually hold the rights, or are genuinely authorised to act for whoever does, before sending a notice.

7. Trademark and other complaints

The process above is for copyright. For trademark concerns, publicity rights, or anything else, write to contact@papogames.com describing the issue and the specific page. We treat those with the same urgency.
