Neon Pong is a free 3D table tennis game - a real arena, real depth and real spin. Read the bounce, move your feet, and race to 5, 7 or 11 against a smart CPU or a friend on the same keyboard.

🕹️How do you play Neon Pong online?

  1. 1Drag anywhere on the court to move your paddle. It follows at a fixed speed, so lead the ball instead of chasing it. Arrow keys work too.
  2. 2Flick upward, or press Space, to serve. A legal serve bounces on your half first, clears the net, then bounces on theirs.
  3. 3Wait for the ball to bounce on your side before you swing. Volleys are not legal in table tennis and they do not register here.
  4. 4How you move the paddle decides the shot: sweep sideways to angle it, push forward to drive it deep and flat, drag back to chop it short.
  5. 5The glowing ring on the table marks where the incoming ball will land. Get your paddle there before it does.

📋What are the rules of Neon Pong?

  • Matches are first to 5, 7 or 11 points, and if both players reach one short of the target you have to win by two.
  • Service changes every two points, the same rotation used under the real table tennis rules.
  • You lose the point if your shot misses the table, dies in the net, or bounces twice on the receiver's half before it is returned.
  • A serve that clips the net tape is a let and gets replayed, so serving aggressively costs you nothing.
  • A ball that catches the edge of the table is still in play, and it kicks off at an angle nobody can plan for.

💡What are the best tips for winning at Neon Pong?

  • Topspin is what lets you hit hard and still land it. A flat fast ball sails long; the same speed with spin dives onto the table.
  • Move in depth, not just side to side. Stepping in on a short ball and back on a deep one wins more points than swinging harder does.
  • Aim away from your opponent rather than at the lines. A ball 20 cm inside the corner wins the point and risks nothing.
  • The power meter fills on clean returns. Spend the smash on a ball sitting up high, never on one below net height.
  • If depth is hard to read, press C for the Tactical camera. It trades atmosphere for a much clearer view of the bounce.

ℹ️What is Neon Pong?

Neon Pong is an original PapoGames sports title, rebuilt from the ground up in 3D with WebGL. The table is a real ITTF table - 2.74 m long, 1.525 m wide, with a 15.25 cm net - and the ball obeys real gravity, air drag and Magnus force, which is why topspin pulls a hard shot back down onto the table while backspin holds it up. The rules follow table tennis rather than Pong: every point starts with a serve, there are no walls to rebound off, and you have to let the ball bounce on your side before you play it. Four arenas, three camera angles, four CPU difficulties and a local two-player mode, free in the browser with no download and no sign-up.

FAQ

Is Neon Pong free?+
Yes. Neon Pong is free to play in your browser on PapoGames, with no download, no install and no sign-up.
Is this really 3D?+
Yes. The arena, table, net, paddles and ball are all real 3D objects rendered with WebGL, and you can switch between three camera angles with the C key or the camera button.
How does spin work?+
Spin comes from how you move the paddle. Pushing forward through the ball loads topspin, which makes the shot dip; dragging back cuts under it for backspin; sweeping sideways puts on sidespin that bends the ball in flight and kicks it sideways off the bounce.
Can I play with a friend?+
Yes. Pick 2 Players on the menu. Player 1 uses the mouse or the arrow keys on the near paddle, Player 2 uses W/A/S/D on the far one, and Space serves for whoever's turn it is.
