How do you play WordTrap online?

What are the rules of WordTrap?
- –Lives depend on difficulty: Easy 8, Normal 6, Hard 5, Expert 4.
- –Harder levels also pick longer words — 4 to 6 letters on Easy, 9 or more on Expert (Arabic words run shorter at every level).
- –Each letter can be guessed once per round.
- –One hint per round reveals a letter, but it costs a life, resets your combo and takes 15 points off the round.
- –The Daily word is the same for every player in a category on a given day.
What are the best tips for winning at WordTrap?
- –Open with common vowels and consonants: in English E, A, O, T, N, S and R cover most words.
- –Use the category: a Countries word and a Tech word share very few letter patterns.
- –Keep correct guesses coming — each letter in your longest run adds 5 points.
- –The hint costs a life, so it is cheapest on Easy and most dangerous on Expert, where you only have four.
- –Look for repeated letters: a single correct guess can fill several blanks at once.
What is WordTrap?
Hangman is one of the oldest pencil-and-paper word games, and WordTrap keeps its core intact while adding the structure a browser version can offer. Words come from seven categories — Animals, Countries, Movies, Tech, Sports, Food and Music — and four difficulty levels change two things at once: how many wrong guesses you can afford and how long the words are. On Easy you get eight lives for four- to six-letter words; on Expert you get four lives for words of nine letters or more. A Daily mode serves one fixed word per category each day, so you can compare results with friends. The page language decides the word list: English, Arabic, French, Spanish and Portuguese each have their own words, and the Arabic version uses an Arabic keyboard laid out right to left. Scoring rewards clean play: every round starts from a base of 50 to 200 points depending on difficulty, adds 12 points for each life you still have, 5 points for each step of your longest run of correct letters and 2 points per letter in the word, and subtracts 15 if you used the hint. Your best score and your longest winning streak are saved in your browser.
